We make all our Wood Wine Cellars from the wood specie Fir. We do that for a reason. Fir is extremely strong and durable. It is the preferred wood in high stress applications, such as roof and floor trusses. It is also extremely attractive with color hues from a light red to a reddish brown. The grain is straight and close. These features add to the inherent strength of the wood. Fir is much stronger than pine, cedar or redwood. We dry the Fir to 12 percent moisture content which ensures a minimum of warping. All our wine racks are made from wane, defect free pieces. We don't believe any other manufacturer takes as much care as we do to make their Wine Racks. We are proud to make our customers the best Wine Cellars and Racks in the marketplace.
